Description:
Fine example of the ubiquitous and powerful NYC 4-6-4 Hudson built by Alco-Schenectady. This loco was built in january of 1930 as one of the J-1d class members. Specs - serial #68178, J-1d class, 79" drivers, 25x28" cylinders, engine weight of 362,500 lb. The photo is from the Harold K. Vollrath collection.
