Title:
EL 3453
Description:
Former DL&W MU trailer, built by Barney & Smith in 1912 as a locomotive hauled car and later converted to work with the Lackawanna's electric MUs in the 1930s. While in service in New Jersey, this was a subscription only parlor car where commuters would pay each month for the option to ride in a quieter, more private ride to and from work each day. The Walkersville Southern acquired the coach from New Jersey's United Railroad Historical Society a few years back with plans to restore it for future dinner train operations.
