Description:  This 2-8-2 Mikado was built by Lima in March of 1917 as NKP 506. The loco was equipped with ATS in May of 1926 and used in the Chicago area after that. In 1954, it was laid up at the Calument yard. Eventually it was sold in December of 1955 for scrap to Purdy & Co. Specs - serial #5434, class H-5a, 63" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 25x32" cylinders, engine wt of 287,000 lb, and tractive effort of 48,600 lb. This is a Dennis Gary photo.
