I went down the hill and caught UP Train MNLTT 31 coming through MO Jct. with 526 axles, 85 loads, 39 empties, 124 total cars, 12,278 tons, and 7,474 feet long. From here I headed back to Malden to see Engineer and Operation Lifesaver Volunteer Mike McGill give a presentation on grade crossing safety for my dad's driver's ed. class. Mike did a great job and really hit home with my classmates. DMIR 409 was built as SSW 9280 March 1973, so it's on home rails here on the Cotton Belt! |
