Mill Plain Station (New Haven Railroad)
Built 1881, Mill Plain Station was located on the west side of Danbury where Mill Plain Road (U.S. Route 6/202) crosses the Maybrook Line (which ran between Danbury and Beacon with a former connection to the Poughkeepsie Bridge, a main freight link between New England and the Midwest). Passenger service ended in 1928. The property had been sold in recent years and the station donated to the Danbury Railway Museum, being relocated to the museum yard and under restoration.
