TRB. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken at the western end of the Rockville Bridge near Marysville, Pennsylvania, c. 1967. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8612, an AS-24M built by the American Locomotive Company in August of 1956 and rated at 2,400 horsepower. In this context, it's pulling a mixed-cargo freight train (including engine #8616) across the Bridge on its way to the Enola Yards. The photographer's name and the date are not recorded. |
