Union Pacific 9950 is an SD40-2 currently on display at the Western America Railroad Museum at the Barstow Harvey House Depot. 9950 was built by EMD in 1980 for Missouri Pacific as their 3320. When UP bought the MP in 1982 and fully merged in early 1997, the unit was repainted into UP colors and was renumbered to 4320. The unit served with UP for another 7 years, before being donated to the museum on March 6, 2004. Behind the locomotive on the right is Santa Fe FP45 95, in Warbonnet colors, and on the left is former Santa Fe SD40 5007 (lettered as GN 6307). |
