This is the concourse of Union Station, seen from the balcony. Its the only one of the five Chicago stations then in use to retain its original character. La Salle(Rock Island), Northwestern and Randolph St(ICG and South Shore) all have been replaced by office towers. Dearborn was closed once its only remaining train, the "Orland Park Cannonball" on a remnant of the Wabash, was moved to Union Station by Metra. |
