Savannah & Atlanta 4-6-2 750 pulling a Southern Railway excursion train at Crossville, Tennessee in 1974. In front of it is the tender of another steam unit, possibly 4501. This unit was one of the earliest used in Southerns excursion program of the early 70s. Today this beauty - built by ALCo in 1915 for the Florida East Coast as their #80 and sold to the S&A in 1935 - is preserved at the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth, Georgia. |
