Skytop Obs First?
The 261 and the westbound fall color trip to Willmar nears the Old Crystal Bay Road overpass in Orono. It is interesting that the 261 was coupled up to the "Cedar Rapids" for the westbound leg of the Willmar trip. This doubtless was to allow the Amtrak unit to be on the hind end due to having to back up at Minneapolis Junction to gain access to the north leg of the wye there to access the Wayzata Sub. Note the spectators on the Willow Drive bridge at the upper left. Folks sure are well-informed about the 261! Who said people thought trains were boring?
