| A loaded coal train waits on the main while the regional freight wraps up work here. They have just left the cut of cars at the right for Norfolk Southern whose track crosses in the background. They will now head north towards Spruce Pine where they will most likely stop to deliver cars for Feldspar and other small industries. The power for the regional has just re-coupled to their train which is blocking the main in the north portal of Marion Tunnel. Once clear, the coal drag will head south. There is also an SD60I, a unit that I have never seen, idling here for reasons unknown to me. |
