The best KCS consist of 2011!
This will likely be the last time I ever see a KCS consist like this! With no working dynamics on any of these units, it's a sure sign that their worn out days are numbered.

The SD40's are yet to see the end. They are rebuildable and still have a ton of good years left if the effort is put into them. Look at CSX and other Class 1's rebuilding their fleets

Nice shot, I agree with Virgil, their days may be numbered on KCS, but another railroad, if not KCS themselves will rebuild & reuse these units barring a major crash that damages them beyond repair.
