Curt Beal General Looks like they've seen better days, but anything in SP colors is still a great catch. 9/9/2010 1:00:15 PM
William H. Davis Jr. General Yeah, I agree, especially the former CN GP40-2LW'S. As far as the SP 5387 goes it got to the ATN in worse shape that it's in now. The SP lettering on the side & nose on the 5387 was painted out with black paint. The ATN decided to pressure wash the 5387 one day & uncovered the SP paint so lucky it worked out that way. I'm glad they left it as is & didn't paint it all black like the LTEX scheme 9/9/2010 8:10:33 PM
Bernie Feltman General I wasn't aware they were using the ex-CN units. Very nice catch, Henry 9/10/2010 8:26:03 AM
William H. Davis Jr. General They normally use these 4 axle former CN GP40-2LW'S on the Guntersville Turn. Very rarely do they make an appearance in Birmingham. 9/10/2010 8:31:00 PM
