| No sign of the change in ownership of the line was visible, other than the office no longer displays the IC&E Logo - the crossings still say IC&E rather than CP and I did not see any CP locomotives (I did see a rent a wreck, IC&E, DM&E, UP, and BNSF locomotives). This was basically a precursor to the entire trip - almost no trains and bad weather (very hot and humid, lots of clouds, thunderstorms, and rain). You just have to love Iowa in August. I had much better luck taking pictures here in May two years ago. |
