NKP 6
Nickel Plate Road 6 at Calumet City, Illinois on June 13, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. According to the Nickel Plate Historical and Technical Society's web page, this was the NKP's second #6, built by Pullman July 11, 1923, originally named Mountain City. It was a 12-2 Pullman, built to Plan 2521D, remodeled to Plan 4025H/4025R September 22, 1937, renamed Carleton Club, sold to the NKP December 31, 1947, retired in 1951, and converted to a business car. Another note states it was disposed in October 1964. I question that last date, I photographed it in the NKP yard in Calumet City in June 1965.

Daniel Carleton General Not to quibble but it was actually renamed "Carleton Club." 10/29/2019 6:42:35 AM
