A line of First Great Western 43-class diesels sit under the shed at London-Paddington Station. Almost 200 of these 2250HP units were built in the late 1970s/early 1980s; they're considered the fastest diesel locomotives in the world in daily service, with a listed max speed of about 145 MPH. |
