Description: |
The day after New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal was dedicated, Louisville & Nashville FP7 651 and GP7 550 were on their way out of the station with train No. 34, the combined PIEDMONT for New York City and the GULF WIND for Jacksonville. The train’s first two coaches were Seaboard Air Line cars going to Florida, while the Jacksonville sleepers were on the rear. The GULF WIND cars would be removed at Flomaton, Alabama and continued on to Jacksonville as train No. 61. |
