The 4-bay covered hoppers on the G-MNXETT were mostly owned by either CIT Group (CITX, CEFX), Trinity Rail (TILX), or Instar (IARX), but were all painted into an identical white livery from the plant that had now shifted into a road-weathered grey/brown that complimented the dead brown greenery well. Depressing paint matches depressing winter weather. |

This newcomer appears to have been painted for the BJRY before being sold to ITSX, and eventually made its way to the SW out west before arriving here in Kansas City for what appears to be a new railroad company. KCRR 3408 will be operating under Jaguar Transportstion at their new Kaw Bridge Yard, which was aquired from Union Pacific recently. Little is known about this new addition to the Kansas City railroading scene at the time, but cheers to a new operation in the Heartland. |
