Description:  The track for the new spur to the Florida Rock quarry is in place for the most part (it can seen heading toward the quarry at far left). The switch where the spur will join the mainline still awaits installation, as do the gates on the new AL Highway 14 crossing. The light poles and guard rail along the road are also new.

Description:  The Florida Rock quarry spur is now completed from the switch off the main to CSX's maintenance limits just beyond the left side of the frame. The quarry is still laying track and completing the rock loader. No train has taken the switch as of yet, but as you can see, everything looks ready to go.

Description:  What's left of a semaphore, permanently fixed in an 'approach distant' aspect, just west of downtown Montgomery on the former Western Railway of Alabama. This route is now a part of the Meridian & Bigbee and has recently hosted numerous run-through trains between the KCS in Meridian and the CSX (former L&N) in Montgomery.

Description:  CSX A747 switches at Chehaw. The white building to the right of the train is about all that's left to mark where the Tuskegee Railroad tied into the West Point Route. The train came north as two light engines; the other Dash 8 is on the opposite end of this cut of cars just pulled out of the siding. At Macon Siding, the two locomotives will congregate at the south end of the train take it south toward Montgomery.
